CATT Lab Director Gets Published

Michael Pack, director of the Center for Advanced Transportation Technology Laboratory (CATT Lab) located within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park recently wrote “Regional Situational Awareness through Transportation Systems Integration” which was published in the CIP Report, a publication of the Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security which is located at the George Mason University School of Law.

The article gives insight to the creation of the Regional Integrated Transportation Information System (RITIS) and how it works to provide regional situational awareness among the State, county, and city departments of transportation’s traffic management centers.

James Clark School of Engineering Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, supports National, State, and local efforts to provide safe and efficient transportation systems through improved operations and management by means of research and development, technology implementation, training and education.
